Is it possible to use jargon and buzzwords as an ally of connection instead of as its enemy? Every industry, business, and profession has its own language representing complex ideas. While it can be confusing and alienating to people who don’t understand it, there are ways to use these terms and phrases to promote understanding and connection.
In this “Fan Favorite Quick Take” episode, we discuss the main reasons why so many people habitually use this language, even when they say they hate it. We also share a few ways you can make jargon and buzzwords more inviting, inclusive, and useful.
Instead of vilifying jargon and buzzwords, maybe it’s time to think about how we can make better use of them.
